LCFCA offers girls from Pre-Kindergarten through the 6th grade the opportunity to learn the skills and techniques of cheerleading, while at the same time, learning team building and self- confidence.
We start off the season with a Cheer Camp, taught by the local High School cheerleaders. After the Cheer Camp, our coaches select their teams through a draft. Once the draft is completed, the cheer coaches will contact their cheer squad and begin practice.
Cheerleaders practice during the week at the Corinth Fields. Football games are played on Saturdays with surrounding communities. The registration fee includes all camps, awards ceremony, and uniforms which includes top, skirt, bloomers, poms, socks, and camp wear.
At the end of football season, all girls will participate in a Cheer Off. The cheer off will allow teams in the same age group to compete for in Cheer and Dance. Individual and group trophies will be awarded. The Cheer Off will replace the formal competitions we have done in the past. Cheer Off is put together by our local high schools.
Cheer Camp is a great time for the new cheerleaders and returning cheerleaders to learn cheers and dances. The High School cheerleaders put on a great camp and teach the girls technique, cheer skills and confidence. Cheer Camp will be July 14th this year from 8:00-10:00am for girls entering preK-2nd and from 11:00-1:00pm for girls entering 3rd-6th at location to be determined. All girls who have registered will receive camp wear which will include shorts and a t-shirts. The camp wear will be handed out on July 10 and July 12 from 6:00-7:30pm at the Lake Dallas High School Field House Parking Lot.
Practices begin July 23rd or later and continue through the end of the season in November. Your coach will schedule a team meeting, at which time practices will be determined. Depending on coach, you will practice 2-3 times per week. Practices are held at the Corinth fields. Coaches will teach cheers, techniques, and dances. For the Cheer Off, practices are to be held at the Corinth Fields and cannot be held at any other location until further notice.
Your full cheer uniform will include shell (blouse), skirt, bloomers, pom-poms, hair bow and camp wear (shorts and tee-shirt).
Fees and Other Costs
The registration fees for the 2012 season is $185 per cheerleader ($195 July 1st and beyond). The registration fee includes the full uniform (excluding shoes) and most expenses the league will incur throughout the year. Out-of-pocket expenses you might have are plain, white cheer tennis shoes, which are typically available at Walmart. Your team may elect to do homecoming mums or other hair bows. Your Team Parent may collect up to $25 per child to cover additional team expenses, including your year end team party and coaches' gifts. Any other amounts your team may ask for are voluntary.
Each child is required to participate in league fundraiser. All cheerleaders must sell 40 raffle tickets @ $1 each. The raffle will be held during the league pep rally and the people you sell tickets to will have an excellent chance at winning fabulous prizes.
Pre-Season Travis Duffey Scholarship Bowl

The event is in memory of young former player, Travis Duffey, who died a few years ago. This event occurs in mid to late August. Every team plays this day. Each child receives a medal for their participation. A reasonable admission will be charged and all proceeds go to Travis Duffey Memorial Scholarship fund. teams meet an hour before their game time to have their team pictures taken.
